Niklas Foundation Program

Who We Are

Nikalas Foundation was conceptualised in the year 2012, during the centenary celebration of our parent organization, Somalwar Education Society—a name synonymous with excellence in education for over a century. The Foundation was envisioned as a platform to carry forward this legacy and extend premium educational practices to the children who need them the most.

We began with various value adding programs in schools serving marginalized communities targeting teachers and students both. The success of these initiatives eventually led to the formal incorporation of Nikalas Foundation as a Section 8 company in the July 2021, under the able leadership of CA Rohit Somalwar.

Through unique programs like Anubhav, Saraav and Sadhan, we got an opportunity to work with 15000+ marginalised children in just 3 years of our operations and we are determined not to settle until every child in India experiences education as a gateway to opportunity, dignity and growth.

Our Vision

To create equal opportunities for under-privileged children and transform their lives through high quality education.

Our Mission

To improve the quality of K-12 education being imparted to under-privileged children across India by implementing innovative teaching methods, enhancing educational infrastructure, and ensuring holistic development through a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Transforming School Education

Anubhav (Anubhavatmak Shiksha – Learning through Experiences) is our flagship program designed to foster a culture of application-based learning in schools. It aims to move beyond rote memorization and make education a meaningful, engaging, and effective process for every child.

It is a relevant, easy to implement, technology-independent, high impact program in line with recommendations of National Education Policy-2020, NIPUN Bharat Mission & learning outcomes prescribed in National Achievement Survey (NAS).

ANUBHAV is our sincere contribution towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: “To ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all by 2030.”

Through 53 projects of ANUBHAV across 12 districts in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, and West Bengal, we have been able to create meaningful impact in the lives of more than 10,000 children in the age group of 6 to 13 years.

While we take pride in this journey, our deepest gratitude goes to these wonderful children who have been our greatest teachers.
